Changing text in quotes causes problems

I've posted this in the module forum but I haven't gotten many suggestions so I'm hoping someone here might have an idea what's happening.

I'm trying to change the Store Pick-Up option to "Free Local Delivery" but when I change the storepickup.php, my admin says "MODULE_SHIPPING_STOREPICKUP_TEXT_TITLE". I figured I did something wrong but when I replace it with the original unedited storepickup.php file, it still doesn't change. Any suggestions?

After replacing the original file did you clear the cache/cookies... Etc?

As for the change of text, well there are things that might depend on the text being what it is. Always need to look at the effect of making such a change. Especially considering the simplicity/complexity of the shipping/payment modules.

Just. Some thoughts. Probably by now the default installation is working without issue other than the desire to change it again.
