As an update to this I've now noticed that the saved file size is reduced from 2.71 kb to 2.33kb ! I have no idea what's missing yet

So, here's a 'workaround'.
I don't use the 'page 2' facility in my website so I fired up CEeditor, loaded the blank page 2 and created the text for my front page in the correct font, colour etc.
THEN I switched to 'source' and copied the text. Closed page 2
Switched the editor back to plain text. Opened 'define main page' and pasted the copied text into the appropriate place. Saved the file.
Clunky but that did the trick !!

Yes, same thing. I meant to look into it one day but for now I just edit the file w notepad++++

How to do turn on the discount percentage to show how much they are saving?

You will need to remove a display:none; in the css file. If you post a link to the page I can take a look.

Here's an interesting one !

I am playing around with Westminster using xampp on my laptop (as I have done many times before - prior to upgrading a current website). I am reasonably confident that everything is as it should be, the demo file works well EXCEPT that when I use CKeditor to call up the front page file (includes/languages/english/html_includes/westminster_new/define_main_page.php) strange things happen.

The full file is shown in the editing area as plain text rather than as the interpreted image - fair enough - but if I save the file, even without making a single change, the front page then doesn't function. Both the slider and and the lower pictures from the demo disappear to be replaced with their code.
I know that it's the correct file in the right place and all the code remains intact. Interestingly I can both manually edit the file and make adjustments using the text editor in 'Plain text' mode and that works just fine. However I'd like to be able to use the text editing facility to easily change text colour etc.
You'll probably say that this is a CEeditor problem and that's fine, but I'd be interested to know if any other Westminster user has experienced similar effects.

The define_main_page.php contains php code and must be edited using a plain text editor. I would recommend uploading the file from the template package and re making your edits with a plain text editor.

actually I guess it's fine. I only use the regular http for links and stuff. The https was in a shortcut I use on my PC, but I just changed it. Thanks

I'll let the experts answer the specifics. It might just be as simple as undo-ing an edit.

Since zencart switches automatically between http/https pages as necessary out of the box, it has not been an issue for us and we don't worry about it.
