unnecessary refresh button on shopping cart page

I'm working on a zencart installation which has some products with different size attributes. It seems that in the shopping cart page if there's products with attributes in your cart it is impossible to update the quantity - fair enough, we can't tell if they want a different size so we don't let them change the Quantity.


But if you can't change the quantity, then how come there's a refresh button beside the product which can't be refreshed? I tried removing the code for the button if the product has attributes but it messes up things elsewhere.


Is there a zen-cart way of getting rid of that useless refresh button?

I believe the Edit Cart mod allows you to do so.

I was just happy to remove the refresh button but this is probably a better solution anyway.

Is the problem seen with all types of attributes or only one type?

I haven't tested with all types of attributes and also without any mods installed, but I was able to change the quantity of an item that had a text attribute attempted with the text field both populated and not.

I do have edit orders (not edit cart) installed, some other mods, as well as a version of stock by attributes; however, the item tested is not controlled by SBA.
