Hi there! Is this only useful for email sent through ZenCart? Or will it indicate on a web order whether the customer has checked the box?
Currently, we use MailChimp to send our emails out, and I would like a way for the person processing the order to know whether a new customer can be added to our MailChimp list (IOW, that the customer has clicked the opt-in box when they purchase something.)

Yes, this will work as you requested but would need to be custom coded into your cart.

Twitch CASL is being updated for 155e now :)

Twitch CASL Advanced for 1.56c will be available shortly. The newest version is built into Twitch Base6.


New features include:

- Master CASL Record with account created date is written during account creation regardless of new regulation switch positions - privacy policy, conditions of use, newsletters

- Privacy Policy checkbox required and recorded during account creation

- Conditions of Use checkbox required and recorded during account creation

- Newsletter select/not selected record clarity live site/admin actions

- date_checked now updates relative to the last change admin/customer with detailed notes (viewable in Admin > Customers)

- casl_purpose, privacy_read and conditions_read operate independently with their own messages

- casl_purpose automatically includes your STORE_NAME now

NEW - Confirm Conditions of Use During Checkout Procedure - true|false


If one or both of these switches are set to true, a detailed CASL record is written including the date/time and IP address during account create. By Zen Cart default when these switches are on - an error will display if the customer doesn't check the box.


This module can be installed in new or existing sites - I've included instructions to apply to existing customer data to ensure a past/present record of compliance with CASL.
