Seperate login for sales affiliates and distributors ?

Hello Everyone,

I would like to see if there is a way in Zen Cart to have a separate login for sales affiliates and distributors.

This would be an area on accessible only to them with special wholesale pricing details etc. On the main page to say something like : "Welcome guest would you like to login, or register. Sales affiliates log in here."

The affiliate folder or products should not be viewable to the general public.

If this is possible, what is the best way to go about it......

I think the Twitch Wholesale plugin will do that.

May require an upgrade of the cart to incorporate. Reported as being 1.5.1 compatible, but doesn't say won't work on 1.3.9h.

Hello Guys,

Thanks for your help. I wanted to stop back and give an update so it may help someone else looking to create a private login affiliate page.

I did look at Twitch Wholesale, but, having 1.39h it wasn't compatible an upgrade was not an option for me at the time.

I went here: https://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=254

and downloaded the "Hide Categories Plugin".

Then I went here: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6800

and downloaded "Password Protect Categories"

I installed them in that order. After the install I set my password for the affiliate page. After a bit of tweaking it seems to work just fine.

You can see it here if you like. Click on the globe in the lower left to access the password protected login.

I did want to mention that if you use images on your protected pages do not use an ALT tag or name the products something people may search for or they will show in the search field.

You can turn off search, I suppose, but , that may not be a desired choice for some,

What I did was like this. If the affiliate was lets say "McDonalds". I named the folder MCD1, and the photos MCDfries1a and so on. This lessens the possibility of someone finding it in a search.
