Let me start by saying my shop is brand new. I have yet to advertise it anywhere.

In the last 2 days, my google analytics is showing me over 500 "new" visitors to my site. When I click on acquisition, they are all 100% direct.

I am assuming that googlebot or another robot (As some of the hits are out of poland??) are crawling the site, as each page I have has 2 hits.

My question is, why would each page hit be considered as a new visitor with it's own session when it has to be just 1 or 2 robots?

Can't figure this out. The number of visitors should just be 2, not 500+.

Any recommendations? I need my visitor counter to be accurate as I'm going to begin an advertising campaign soon and have to have valid numbers.
