    Default Discontinued Products Handling

    Hi,
I've been using Zen for 4yrs now but one thing puzzles me in the best way to handle things when a product becomes discontinued OR will not be in stock for 6 months.

To date, I have just left them accumulate on the site with the 'Sold Out' function but, this now looks untidy. So, today I have been in admin - categories - product and doing the 'Status Disabled' function to clean things up.

My worry is with Google and other search engines, I am using Ceon URI mapping. So will this cause any concern with the search engines? or what is another 'best way' to clean up?

    Tanks for any advice.

Any Search Engines will clean itself up. When you remove an item from your database and the search engine says "Look that item doesn't exist any more" It should be removed from Search Engine's Database. It will take some time.
