Store quantities in the negitive

I think something is wrong with my Zen cart. I had a product set to 3 in the quantity in the store. I had a customer order six of them and zen cart allowed them to. Now if I look in Admin --> Categories/Products it show -3 for that product. I thought that it would not let a customer order more than what was in the product quantity?

Is something set wrong. I don't want something like this to happen again?

What are your settings in the Configuration ... Stock ...

It was set to 3 in stock but the customer ordered 6 and not it says -3 in stock.

What ajeh is asking is if you look in your admin panel, under the configuration menu listing, there is a menu item labeled Stock. When you click there and several settings appear, what are the values for those settings?

No problem, wanted to make sure that the information needed to gain help would be provided and hopefully you wouldn't get too aggitated while "waiting".

So the third option down (allow checkout), if you select it and read the description, you will see what is causing this "problem".

So, yes, ZC can be setup to prevent quantities. From going negative, but there are also business reasons to allow that situation,so it is a matter of setting the store for the desired response/situation.
