After upgrade to 1.5.3 Unable to determine the page link!

After upgrading from 1.5.1, my store URL gives Error Unable to determine the page link! but the admin side works fine.
All new and changed files uploaded with no problem.
zc_install database update ran fine, no errors
Any ideas as to why this is happening and what can fix it?
Spent about 3 hrs trying to solve this to no avail.

Do you have any sort of URL rewriter installed ?

Further, if stevesh' answer doesn't fix/address the issue, since you are able to reach the admin page you may be able to search the files to determine what application is generating that message using tools, developers toolkit.

Thank you both for your help. After a search using the dev kit, I found it was due to a missing init file. Problem has been resolved.
I also do have a sitewide url rewriter, but it appears to be functioning fine with the one in the cart.
Thank you again for the fast responses, I forgot all about using the supplied tools...I think my grey hair had a blonde moment.

That's okay, sometimes I find myself trying to find a code fix for something that is database driven, or a css solution for a code change... Happens. :)

May help others (though it's been a few days) to identify which init file was missing.
