I am 99% sure this is not a Zencart issue but i need some advice

This is hard to explain so bear with me please

Please note I have triple/quadruple checked the email address is identical

As an example
The store address is
example.com
owners email is
[email protected]

When zencart sends an order confirmation or a customer query to the owner of the store the owner doesn't receive it

However if a customer sends an email from their home computer to the owners email the owner will receive it

If the owner sends an email from the zencart admin "send email" function, the customer will receive it

Now this is where the fun happens

if i go to

example.com/webmail

and login to the owners email address all the emails they haven't received are there, (but none of the ones they have received)

If i login to

example.com/cpanel

and then click on the webmail link there it redirects me to

webmail.au.syrahost.com/

and if i login here with the owners email credentials all the emails they have received are there, (but none of the ones that they didn't receive)

So basically it seems I have 2 separate mailboxes for the same address depending on where the mail originates.


I am still waiting for support to get back to me, I am guessing as i am not a server person that an MX? record is stuffed up somewhere?
