Question about phpBB Plugin

I have a simple question:

This plugins Readme says:

Prerequisites

This plugin requires the following Zen Cart environment to successfully run:

Zen Cart (v1.5.1 or later) installed and operable.
phpBB (v3.0.11 or later) installed and operable in a subdirectory of the Zen Cart installation.
The Zen Cart®/Bulletin Board Integration via Notifier Hooks plugin installed in the Zen Cart installation.

I have tested it and it works great this way, however the live website should have

* The PHPBB Forum in the domain root (being the main site)
* Zencart 1.5.3 in a subfolder (being the shopping cart where users pay for some type of subscriptions)

Is this possible with this plugin and which modifications need to be done?

It may be possible to support your configuration by changing your DIR_WS_PHPBB definition to

define ('DIR_WS_PHPBB', '../');
