How can I adjust site search?

The default zen cart site search does not put enough weight on the product names in my shopping cart.

In other words, if I do a search for "blue widgets," I get a bunch of other stuff at the top of the search results that don't even have "blue widgets" in the product name, and the ones with "blue widgets" in the product name show up lower in the serps.

How can I modify the factors used in site search on Zen cart? I realize this may involve some programming...

An example search phrase is "wood handle." We have products with "wood handle" in the name of the product, yet they don't even show up on the first page of results. Here is an example of a wood handle product:

I think the problem is that Zen Cart's search is weighting keywords in the description too high for determining relevancy. I would like to know if there are any pre-existing solutions for this.

Yeah, the search is great. I've been meaning to work on that a bit. If nothing else, at least put products who's cat name matches the term at the top of the list. If you care to poke at it it's: includes/modules/pages/advanced_search_result/header_php.php. Certainly wouldn't do it on a live site! =0)
