Product information disapearing

Due to illness (disability) I took my store off line for a couple of years. All I did was go in and set all the items as disabled.
My wife has decided to take over and start the business back up so I went in and enabled everything. However everytime I edit an item it seems to save OK may even work once but then all the details disappear. If I copy an item the new item is there and then gone. I just tried adding an item and when I hit the insert item button it just takes me to a blank screen.
I'm assuming my ISP made some sort of database change and the DB is not adding changing the items, it just erases almost everything when I try to change one. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to try and find the issue.
I plan on updating ZC but I would rather get the store working first.... If not I'll probably just start with a fresh install.

Your last inclination is more along the route needed. As a result of php upgrades, your old store version nolonger operates as desired. Follow these instructions and you can "start new" but with your old data: http://www.zen-cart.com/entry.php?3-...d-of-upgrading
