I'd be curious to know if any business owners are using Venmo to receive (or make) payments. It seems like their focus is C to C so I don't know that they'll have a Zen Cart payment module anytime soon (but I could be wrong).

I was told by Venmo yesterday... if the customer selects PayPal as an option to pay, then Venmo can be a choice once they're at checkout. It won't show up as a Venmo button, but if the vendor has the option turned on, they can pay with Venmo. I asked for an example because I haven't seen it on any of the carts I've looked at that take PayPal as a payment, but maybe those vendors have not turned it on yet. I could not find ANY info at the link she provided.
Here's what she actually said: "we also offer the ability to accept Venmo through PayPal’s online checkout process, where users can select Venmo as a payment method after choosing to pay with PayPal. Please keep in mind that this option will not add a separate Venmo payment button on your website, but instead, is an option for the customer after selecting PayPal as a payment method.
This option is automatically available to PayPal merchants. You can find more information here: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/merchant"
This is an old thread, but I think Venmo has grown substantially and would benefit merchants immensely.

I would be interested in Venmo

It is easy to clone the Zelle payment module. Just change everything from Zelle to Venmo.
Both are working in my online store: https://bayoucables.com
I've been using for a while for face to face local sales. It's very easy to use and there are no fees.
Venmo is apparently owned by PayPal. As I'm looking for alternatives to PayPal, I can't use Venmo
There's really no connection between the two - I'd encourage you to give it a shot.
