Important announcement about POODLE and payment security. Highly recommend subscribing to Zen Cart Release Announcements on the forums to receive an email when an important announcement is made.
If still running into issues after applying the above patches, there is also a pre-release version of Authorize.NET available for Zen Cart 1.5.x. I would not apply the pre-release version unless absolutely necessary.
NOTE 1: I would strongly recommend upgrading your site to Zen Cart 1.5.3+. Zen Cart 1.5.3 more secure, stable, and able to run on more hardware (and versions of PHP / MySQL). Here is the current listing of known bugs and their resolution for Zen Cart 1.5.3.
