issue with transfer to godaddy

I have tranfered my site between servers multiple times without issue and I bought a godaddy host a few days ago and cannot get the site to transfer. I fallowed the offical instructions but nothing has worked after I install the site I go to transfer my files over to the ftp and it uploads but when I go to look at the site nothing had changed it just shows the green test site

I have deleted it and retried many times but to no avail please help

Check the DB settings in the two configure.php files. They are probably pointing to a default database rather than the one you've migrated. Hhhm, you did copy the database as well as the files, didn't you?

Yes I created a new database and importanted the old one into it and have made sure both configure.php fIles are correct but still nothing also I have the template that I have been using installed but when I go look to see if I can install it from admin it showes up in preview but not as a selection

What do your configure.php files have in them? Post, but obscure the information associated with the DB password and username and, if included, obscure your admin path.

I suspect your DB_PREFIX is different between the old and new sites, and thus it's pointing to different sets of data in the database.
The DB_PREFIX is mentioned in the instructions for doing the move, but many ignore it and end up with the symptoms you describe.
