Default Different server respond to the same editing differently

    Greetings-

We have two websites, one hosted in China (http://www.angelcorp.cn/), one hosted in the US (http://angelcorp.net/test/zencart/).

After I edited 'email_extras.php' language file (even just change one word or add a space), the whole website hosted in China became distorted, while website hosted in the US display correctly.
So far it's the only file that does not allow any change. The China server is running on Windows and the US hosting is Hostgator.

Did someone ever experience similar problem? How to avoid the distortion?

    Thank you.

    Simple:
    1. Perhaps the file's "encoding" is not properly set to UTF8-without-BOM and therefore

    But more importantly:
    2. Don't use web-based editing tools. Instead use your FTP program to download the file you wish to edit, make the changes locally, and upload the corrected file to your server.

The symptoms you describe are common when using a "file editor" provided in-browser to edit the file within your hosting company's control panel. So, the solution is simple: use an editor on your local PC. Sublime Text is good for that, and is free (you don't have to buy it to use it freely).

Thank you, DrByte. I downloaded Sublime Text and got over the barrier.
I did make changes locally, but I was using Notepad. All other files worked fine except this stubborn 'email_extras.php'. Anyway I can fall asleep now.
    Thanks again.
