All Products Virtual -- No Shipping [Support Thread]

This plugin, soon to be submitted for review, is a follow-on to my Minimum Customer Account Information (http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1465), which I'm retiring. That plugin failed to recognize that some virtual products might be taxable (requiring a billing address to determine the tax) and, with the 2015 EU Digital VAT (http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...AT-Affects-You), there are other cases where it's important to gather a customer's full address -- even if you're not shipping a product.

The processing for this plugin is less intrusive than MCAI, requiring fewer core-file overwrites and template-file overrides. For those of you who choose to upgrade from MCAI, an upgrade script is included to ensure that any existing customers' (now incomplete) address-book entries are properly updated before any future product checkout actions.

Just installed this plugin on a client's site.

It works just a treat - thank you!

Just one piece of cosmetics:

When an order is completed the last page heading shows

Home Checkout - Step 4 Order Completed - Thank You

This should read

Home > Checkout Successful > Order Completed - Thank You

as there are no such 4 steps.

Fixed it by editing the file includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/checkout_success.php (template is Westminster New) - Line #11 :

define('NAVBAR_TITLE_1', 'Checkout - Step 4');

to read

define('NAVBAR_TITLE_1', 'Checkout Successful');

May be of consideration for a minor update of this plugin.

I just took a peek at the code and the checkout_success.php language file is not one modified by this plugin; I suggest that you take your change suggestion to your template's support thread!

I don't need the address fields or shipping information in my checkout, which makes this plug-in very handy! However, I do need use of the pick-up options (store pickup) module, that - to my knowledge - would be disabled should I install the plug-in. Is there a way around this? All I need is store pickup, cod, name, email, and phone. I'm using v1.5.4. My site is eat davids pasture.com.

FWIW, it's not this plugin that will cause the checkout-shipping page to be bypassed ... it's the built-in Zen Cart handling for virtual products.

Perhaps you could clone the payment module so that the pickup-location name is associated with the selection. Note that the module suggested as the cloning-basis is the Check/Money-Order (moneyorder.php) module, as opposed to the COD one.

I'll need to review this plugin for 1.5.5+ use. It's got a modification to the phpbb class, for instance, that's been removed in ZC 1.5.5 and later.
