Creating a new website... Which plattform should I use?

Hi All.

I have a question (maybe stupid), but I really would like to get help...

I'm going to create a website. Should be something similar with - www . parcel2go . com . But I'm not sure which platform should I use. I have already a website with Zen Cart so it would be great if Zen Cart could be an option (once I have already many developments done which could be used on the new website).

So my question is: Is Zen Cart a good option for a website similar with www . parcel2go . com ? Which is the best platform for a website like that?

Without looking at the example site you reference I am going to ask; what exactly is it you need your new venture to achieve? It matters not what it looks like at this stage but what do you and your future customers need from your future site?

Thank you for your reply and opinion. Actually is hard to answer in a small text. Anyway, the goal is to provide the possibility to my future customers send orders/packages for a small price and for that reason is important to have a website where customers can easily understand the price for sending an order and create their shipments by themselves.

So my first goal now is to choose the best platform for the new website. Do you have some ideas about it? Which platform could be the best?

So you will have customers select a type of shipping, and size or weight options... ? How many different things will they have to choose to send a package, and how do those choices affect the price? You should be able to do it with Zen Cart, though if you have complicated pricing combinations you might need to add some custom javascript to the product listing page. No idea if there is another platform that will do it easier.
