Sales or Specials with Time and Date (instead of date only) Expiration

Is there a mod or fix that allows a sale or special to be time specific?

For example, customer wants a sale/special to go active at 8:00am Friday, but not before then, and then close at 8pm on Monday. Is this possible?

I was looking over this page http://www.thatsoftwareguy.com/zencart.html and found some amazing mods, only if they were time specific.

Date/Time is not a current feature of Specials but it is something we have been looking at for a future release in addition to being able to set multiple Specials per Product so that they can be pre-set to enable/disable. I do not have everything broken down on how this will work in the future, but it is a know lacking in Zen Cart for those who want things like Tuesday Specials, Blue Light Special for 15 minutes from 3:15 to 3:30 etc.

Not that I have seen so far ...

It would be very different from how things work now and kinda scary that someone might just plunge ahead with the idea and not give it enough though for the affects of all the different kinds of site, server load etc. So I am rather hoping we get this done prior to someone else taking a stab at it ...
