Having trouble upgrading from 1.5.1 to 1.5.4

Not sure if this is the right area, but I was wondering if someone might be able to help me with upgrading to 1.5.4

I am currently using 1.5.1 and have tried just about everything (including clean install) and I am still having trouble updating. Everything is pretty straight forward except I am unable to run the zc_install to patch the database. If I ran the install while the site is in maintenance mode it will just refresh to the maintenance page and when I did a clean install it said page not found. I had no problems when upgrading to 1.5.1; is there something I'm missing that is specific for 1.5.4?

When you get that page-not-found, is there a corresponding entry in your webserver's Apache errorlog that explains what it was looking for when the 404-not-found error was triggered? Maybe there are some security or rewrite rules in your server configuration that are intercepting normal operation ... and that should be recorded in the Apache errorlog.

Thank you for the suggestions. I was finally able to figure it out. It turned out to be a issue with Filezilla. For some reason it was not uploading the complete english.php file within the zc_install (it was cutting it off at line 580 causing a syntax error). However uploading it manually from cPanel did the trick!

I was going to suggest FTP failure, but decided against it because you'd said you tried it from scratch multiple times.
