@RodG That would be exactly what was wrong if the upgrade was to 1.5.3 versus 1.5.4 but

It says I have the latest version after the upgrade.

That assumes 1.5.4 which doesn't require the patch to be applied to those files as those lines do not exist in the 1.5.4 version of the files.
If the patch was applied to fix the immediate problem , I still question whether or not the rest of the update was completed correctly.

Really? When I log into admin it says it's up to date. I hired someone to update it for me.
