Upgraded from 1.3.9 to 1.5.3 - Additional Image broken

So after the upgrade all seemed just fine.
Then I realized that the additional images don't work right.

They are pulling the main image and not their respective image.
Below is a link to see the problem.

In what ways are the files in /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE different from the files in /includes/templates/template_default ... and why?
Same with files in both /includes/modules/pages/popup_image and /includes/modules/pages/popup_image_additional

Well I lived with this problem for a while and though maybe the update to 1.5.4 would fix it.
It did NOT. The addtional image still pulls up with the image of the main image.

So a product of mine for example
main image is - http://www.vickauto.com/newstore/ind...image&pID=1935
what pulls for additional image - http://www.vickauto.com/newstore/ind...+11-2303_1.JPG

And what is displayed is the images set as the main

Any help would be wonderful

Well I lived with this problem for a while

I believe that it is your image naming that is at fault
here are three image names

fiat 20parts 2011-2303.JPG
fiat 20parts 2011-2303-A.JPG
fiat 20parts 2011-2303_1.JPG

Try renaming the base image with NO SPACES or special characters as this
fiat20parts20112303.JPG

Make sure to change it in your admin also

Then rename your additional images as
fiat20parts20112303_1.JPG
fiat20parts20112303_2.JPG

See if this corrects it
