Default folder structure confusion - no LOL please

I'm having some problems with checkout resulting with blank pages and i'm grasping at straws.

The Original Zen folder structure is: /includes/templates/template_default/templates

Should my custom template structure be: /includes/templates/sophyblue/templates/template_default/template

    OR ??

First, where does the template_default folder go?

This is a prior post I made:

I finally have Amazon Payment setup and running up to the point that customer should be returned to my website.

But the return page is blank. The return page URL in the Admin/Modules/payment is: http://www.sourceforherbs.com/index....eckout_success

Following is in the URL line of the blank page:
    /checkout_by_amazon.php?action=ResetCart&amznPmtsOrderIds=115-6882490-2544211&amznPmtsReqId=cartId%3A64059&amznPageSource=CartPage&showAmznPmtsTYPopup =1&merchName=Source%20For%20Herbs&amznPmtsYALink=https%3A%2F%2Fpayments-sandbox.amazon.com%2Fsdui%2Fsdui%2Foverview

    What did I setup incorrectly?

The template_default folder only exists in the default template area. It doesn't appear in your custom template folders.

Sorry, I haven't used Amazon Payments, so I can't help with that.

Regarding file structure. If you want to modify a file to use on your template, say it was includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_checkout_success_default.php, then you would first copy it to:
    Includes/templates/sophyblue/templates

    And then edit it.

All/any files and folders that are under template_default when copied over to your template will be used in place of the template_default version.

Another way to think of it: files are loaded from everything after the selected template folder name, if it doesn't exist in the active template folder name then it is loaded from the template_default directory.

Help any or did I confuse you more? :)

    Marvin,
the original Zen Cart master template files are located at:
    /includes/templates/template_default/...
    ie:
    - common
    - css
    - images
    - templates
    - sideboxes
    etc

and your custom template files will mimic the same structure as the files/folders inside template_default
    /includes/templates/sophy_blue/...
    ie:
    - common
    - css
    - images
    - templates
    - sideboxes
    etc

But you don't need to copy all the files/folders from template_default into sophy_blue, because Zen Cart will auto-load the template_default version if it's not found under sophy_blue. You'll only put "modified" copies of files under sophy_blue.

Hope that clarifies. There are FAQ articles explaining all that in more detail.

For your Amazon issues, those are better discussed as continuation to the existing discussion thread you've got going already at: http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...-was-completed
