Paypal payment path not as expected

I have a new, fresh install of 1.54 - https:www.spbwshop.co.uk - We used Zencart a few years before but the admin moved us onto another platform. Now we are back again.

We still have our Paypal account and the API information so I installed PP Express and PP Pro (UK). From memory this worked a long time ago and when checking out the customer was given an option of signing up or going to payment. At payment the customer had to input name/address and other details and was able to pay by credit card.

At the moment the PP link takes them to their PP account login. I would like them to pay using their own card.

I have installed Check/Money Order (green & "default").
PP Express & Pro show green and "processing".

I am sure there is a simple switch for this but I cannot figure out what it is.

Any time I make a change I also get
ERROR: Failed sending email to: "[email protected]" with subject: "ALERT: Your Admin settings have been changed in your online store." Could not instantiate mail function.

But that is another problem I have to fix.

So, PayPal has gone to a mode of offering the cc option up front on an as determined by PayPal basis. I'm sure there are some instructions about it at they're site, but there is little that can be done from the zc side. That said, under configuration credit cards, what is turned on?

Visa & Mastercard at the moment.
Credit Card Enabled - Show on Payment = 2, though I do not see images or options for the cards.
No joy.

So I took out the Pro - which I thought we were using, then I took out Express and installed Standard. Went to our Paypal account profile and website payment preferences to get IPN/PDT info.

Now it looks more like the way I want it.

The two card images are basic so I can change those.
/includes/templates/template_default/images/icons/cc1.gif etc.

Things look a lot better.
