    Default Gmail Authentication Failed

    Hi all,
    I tried to read many forum threads on the subject cited above, and tried to rectify the issue, but can't. Therefore I am here with the request that with your help I would be able to resolve this.
    Problem is, no email is being sent. I tried setting up new email@mysite.com too, but no result.
    My preference is to setup gmail, so I want to do this through email.
    Note: access for less secure apps has been enabled in my gmail, but still not luck
    Google Apps are enabled on my website.

    Error message is as under;
    Error ERROR: Failed sending email to: "Customer 1" with subject: "testing emails" The following From address failed: myaddress###################### : MAIL not accepted from server,530,5.5.1 Authentication Required. Seems to be quite obvious?

    The *important* bit is, are your setting for "SMTP Email Account Mailbox" & "SMTP Email Account Password" correct?

    The details you need to enter here are the same that you would enter at https://mail.google.com/

    Cheers
    RodG

    ps. If your login details are correct, you should also try setting the port to 587.

    Login detail was absolutely correct, that's why I received a threatening email from Google and I had to enable access for less secure apps.
    But really a pleasant day, that changing port to 587 has worked perfectly for me.
    I give you 10 out of 10
    Great.
