    Default Never seen this before

The store is up and appears to be working fine but when I go to the admin I get the "Hello. Thank you for loading Zen Cart™" page - asking me to install. I have checked on the server and the path is correct. How can the store be fine but admin needs re-installing? I can't even look up the version but it would probably be 1.3.9h.

Compare the paths in includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php. That page displaying is almost always the result of a wrong path.

No, I've checked and checked again, all paths correct. I think I'll re-install. Thanks.

I upgraded to 1.5.4 and it didn't make any difference. The store loads fine (now down for maintenance, at least) but admin invites me to reinstall. What else can I try?

Had this problem a few days ago when attempting to upgrade a client's 1.3.9b site to 1.5.4

Same issue, store displays fine, admin wants to install/upgrade.

I scrapped the lot (all in a test folder), created a new DB and installed a vanilla 1.5.4, all working fine.
Then dropped all tables from the DB and imported a backup 1.3.9 DB. Ran zc-install again and selected DB upgrade.

    Result: all working fine

What was wrong? Don't really know, could have been a corrupted DB import or some left-over 1.3.9 files which my client may have uploaded prior to me getting the job.

    Hope this helps

    Cheers / Frank

Thanks, I'll try that. This happened all on its own, before I even tried to upgrade. I only tried to upgrade to see if that would fix it. It didn't. Weird.

Let us know what pans out. If the problem happens again then PM me.

How do I dump all the tables again? I'm in phpMyadmin - is it an SQL query?

It's OK, googled it, should have done that first. All OK so far... got the admin back, anyway. Thanks for your help.
