I am at the end stage of a v1.5.4 upgrade that hasn't gone well.. (this is my umpteenth "do over" )

In the upgrade I got rid of/retired a LOT of modules the client had installed at one point or another. So I'm down to JUST the modules she uses/needs:

1. SNAF Responsive
2. Add to Any (the ORIGINAL social media sharing service which uses the Google API for social media Tracking/Analytics - https://github.com/DivaVocals/zen_AddToAny)
3. Categories Dressing
4. Reward Point Full Suite
5. Zen Colorbox
6. Image Handler 4
7. Ajax Back In Stock Notifications
8. Ty Package Tracker
9. Manufacturers All Listing
10. Edit Orders
11. Ultimate SEO
12. Products' Options' Stock Manager (commercial stock by attributes module by lat9)
13. COWOA (to be installed)
14. WordPress 4 Zen (base module) (to be installed)
15. Zen 4 WordPress (base module) (to be installed)

Both of these sites are on the same hosting account. The live site's search is lightening fast, but on the upgraded site, it's like swimming in honey kinda slow.. Try searching for "boy scout" on both sites to see what I mean.

Could you turn off the Seo/rewrites on the upgrade site?

I find that the links not using them are fast, but anything else is a dog ...

Everything appears to be CRAWLING on that subdomain at the moment. Even loading the main page is balking (for me). What are the parse times? Can you check if any tables need repair (from phpMyAdmin or similiar)?

I already know it's not the SEO re-writer.. (URL re-writers really have become the favorite whipping boy when trouble shooting.. so it's the first thing I check before posting now..) the search was an issue on the dev site before installing Ultimate URL..

It's not page load.. it's the search that's the issue.. Try doing a search on both and you'll see what I mean..

When I went and looked at the site and ran a search for Soccer, I found 122 products and also weird information about catalogs and ez pages
