"New Products" On Subcategory Pages

Is it possible to show New Products on the index and category pages, but not on the subcategory pages? http://scentsandsilver.com/products/...dex&cPath=1_18

Hmmm, no replies. Okay then...if I absolutely must have new products on the subcategory pages (i.e. http://scentsandsilver.com/products/...dex&cPath=1_18), is there any way to randomize them so that it draws from all categories, not just the one specific to that category?

Have you examined the options in Admin - Configuration - Index Listing?

Thank you! That got rid of them on the subcategory pages. So many of the switches don't say what they actually do...hopefully in future revisions, someone will add some explanations to them.

Now...they're randomized on the index page...how do I randomize them on the category pages so that they show items from every category, not just the one listed above? (http://scentsandsilver.com/products/...=index&cPath=1)

You don't want the subcategory image to display on the product listing page? Try Admin - Configuration - Product Listing - Include Product Listing Sub Categories Image

I'm not sure what the first change was supposed to do...but the second one worked up to a point. The pics are gone from the subcategory pages. The first option will change the New Products centerbox listings from just the current category to all categories, which is how I read your question.

The other - Admin - Configuration - Product Info - Previous Next - Navigation Includes Category Name and Image Status
