Customers are getting an error when entering the credit card number incorrectly using Authorize.net (1.5.4)

"An unknown response null: :text/html; charset=utf-8: :SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 4 column 1 of the JSON data was received while processing an ajax call. The action you requested could not be completed."

Someone else had a different template from Anne with the same problem and Anne had helped in solving the issue by moving a file(?). But then stated he couldn't find the email with the process. Maybe Anne has it archived! :)

This is native zen cart functionality.

    Thanks,

If you post a link to your site I can take a look

The problem is not in the demo, so it must be a problem with your install:

Do you have the ajax.php file in your store root?

    Thanks,

    Anne

    Try removing the includes/templates/responsive_sheffield_blue/jscript/jscript_framework.php file

    Thanks,

That fixed it! It now comes up with the normal error for the customer to re-enter the correct number. Thanks Anne!

Btw, will there be any adverse effects of having the jscript_framework.php file removed from that folder?

No, it is in the template_default folder also. I will have to run a diff to see what was changed in that file and why I changed it. It may have just been a mistake.

    Thanks,

    Anne

On the same topic, if that file was exactly the same in both the default template and our modified_template (whatever that is), would it cause any ill effect?
