zc 1.5.5a with Sheffield Blue Responsive and several mods. Also have Comodo SSL.
I placed the comodo ssl logo in the flexible footer menu by moving the code snipped that would ordinarily go in tpl_main_page into the content box of a new 'create page' in the menu. I set it to column 2 with a sort order of 29 to place it at the bottom of the Customer Info column. (As with other footer menu situations discussed on this forum I had to take the code snippet and insert as clean text via phpMyAdmin - so the logo appeared rather than the html.)
Clicking on the comodo logo calls up a popup with all the security info. But mouse hovering on the logo brings up a smaller popup with just the main info and less boilerplate.
The (minor) problem - the smaller popup on mouseover appears behind the footer menu ribbon which cuts through the midddle of the box. The css of the popup boxes is determined at comodo website so I can't fiddle with z-index -which is set at 0. I didn't have any luck fiddling with the template ribbon z-index for reasons unknown. It did work when I tried in firebug dev tools but didn't work when I tried it live site.
I found this at about #373 in the stylesheet:
Code:
.non-semantic-protector { position: relative;/* z-index: 1;*/}
The commenting out of the z-index is what I tried and it works. (changing the z-index didn't work)I don't see any side effects on my desktop or phone.
So my question - is this edit to the non-semantic-protector going to bite me in the ######## ?
