Price by Word atribute setup

Is there any kind of guidance on how to set up pricing by word? I have been trying with no success to set this up for my client's product.

I've got my product set up with a $0 price, with Product priced by attributes set as Yes

I have followed several instructions, but they never tell you how to set up a TEXT option all the way. I have created the Option Name, set it up as a Text for type

When I go to the attribute controller, this Text option is not available to assign to a product or to set up the cost per word.

Supposedly Zen Cart can handle this, but I am having a very difficult time getting this set up. Can anyone point me in the right direction or assist?

This is a brand new (within the past couple days) installation - so far, not feeling warm and fuzzy!

You do not / can not set a value for text attributes. Go to to catalog->Attributes Controller and select the product.
Then you can attach the text attribute to the product.

Could you look in phpMyAdmin at your database in the table:
products_options_values

do you have in the field:
products_options_values_name

a row with
TEXT

setup? It sounds like you are missing something from your database table ...

That's the only row that I have in that table
settings as follow:values_ID 0
language ID 1
name TEXT
sort order 0

And Thank you Design75 - I found where to add things - it appeared all of a sudden which is odd, but at least it's there now.
