Removing the "Product Model" from the META Title in the product info view?

Currently the site displays the product model in the title. We're using it as a supplier code so need to remove it.

How do I do this?

Admin - Catalog - Product Types - Edit Layout - Show Metatags Title Default - Product Model

Also, if you want that controlled even for non-custom Meta Tags, go to the Configuration ... Product Info ...

Thanks, I've tried both methods but the product model is still in the META title.

I guess this theme has it hard coded?
