Apply coupon discount to more than one line item

Is it possible to have a coupon code applied to more than one item in the cart?

For example business sells cookies and offers multiple flavors in that packaging. A customer orders that product in 2 different flavors. Shopping cart shows Cookie - Vanilla 1 ordered and Cookie- Chocolate 1 ordered. Customer enters discount coupon code thinking each package will be discounted. However, the discount is only being applied to one of the items.

How can I get the coupon discount to be applied to both items?

Are Vanilla and Chocolate attributes of Cookie?

I also set this up as separate products and get the same results.

I figured it out. The only work around is to use percentages on the coupon instead of dollar amounts to get it to apply to all the items in cart.

Works the same for me. I'd be tempted to call that a bug.

I have 1 Cookies with multiple Attributes, Example Color Red, Yellow and Green.

I add to cart:
1 x Cookies ($100.00) with Color Red ($10.00) $110.00
1 x Cookies with Color Green $110.00

I add a Discount Coupon for 10% off where Restrictions are:
Top DENY
Cookies ALLOW

I add another Product to the cart with a value of $75.00 to ensure only the Cookies get the discount and I have a Discount of $22.00 for the 10% of $220 worth of Cookies.

So far, I cannot reproduce the error.

Ajeh - it works fine when using percentage discounts. It does not apply the discount in the same manner if specific dollar amounts are used.

If you were to enter in 10.00 on that coupon it will only discount 10.00 regardless of the amount of items eligible for the discount in the shopping cart.

I neglected to give you additional details in my last reply:

I have restrictions set up so that only 2 items within one category are eligible for the discount. I have "denied" all other categories and all other products within the desired category. I have set up the product as one item with attributes and as separate items with identifying titles for flavor and received the same results using the dollar discount amount.
