"Database Does Not Exist" on a Brand New Fresh Install

I have basically started over with a brand new store and am trying to install the new version but I can't get past this step. I have gone to the admin/includes/configure file and added the database username, password, and the name of the password. Don't know what I am doing wrong for ZC not to recognize the DB.

How about your store-front? Are you able to access it? I'm just trying to figure out if the problem is admin-only.

When you wrote "... for ZC not to recognize the DB", exactly what message display and/or log are you receiving?

If you've got a log, please make sure to xxx-out any mention of your site's admin folder name.

Thank you for the help but it was my fault. I did not complete the database by clicking the "add" button and giving myself complete permissions. It had been such a long time since I had done this that I had forgotten. My host helped me through this. I am completing everything as we speak. Thanks so much lat9. Man, the frustration. Felt like a newbie again.

lol, don't feel bad. After having worked on Zen Carts for 8 years, and updating hundreds, setting up hundreds more new and dev versions, I forget to connect the new DB user to the database....about once a month....ahahahaha
