How to resolve the page not found error when I tried to add a new FAQ page

I tried to add a FAQ page using the EZ Page tool. In the internal url I used: index.php?main_page=faq

In the main HTML Content text box: I entered "test".

However, when I click on the Frequent Asked Question link on the header of my main page, I got the Page not Found error:

I tried to add a FAQ page using the EZ Page tool. In the internal url I used: index.php?main_page=faq

You need to use one or the other of these, not both.

I suggest you use the html content text box, because creating an 'internal' page takes a lot more work. IOW, leave the 'internal URL' blank.

However, when I click on the Frequent Asked Question link on the header of my main page, I got the Page not Found error:

This is because the link you entered takes precedence over the HTML text, and the link is pointing to a page that doesn't yet exist.

If you remove this link then the HTML you entered will be used instead.

The link will actually be to something like "index.php?main_page=page&id=123" (this is automatically created so you don't really need to know it unless you plan to place a link to this page from another page of the site).

Oh, and don't forget to enter something for the (sort) 'order'. If left at zero the link won't be shown.
