ZC Banner removal

Newbie here!

I kinda like the default theme on my site but I would like to remove the ZC banner in the upper left corner of the home page. Can I do that or will ZC be upset?

I think you mean the zen cart logo, which you can remove/change in icludes/languages/english/classic/header.php
Look for
// added defines for header alt and text
section.

If you really mean the banners go to admin > tools > banner manager and remove the banners you don't need,
