Is there a way to place orders via Admin without paying?

Hi guys,

Just wondering is there anyway to place mock orders on our website? or to have an admin account that can buy and not pay for items?

Essentially we have a warehouse with walk in customers too so when they place an order i would like to consolidate that into the website backend too if possible.

There is admin new customer (sets up a customer account for a new customer) and new order (addresses the order itself), but not sure how the payment process with that works. That said, there is also edit orders and super orders... Now all of that, I see that you have ZC 1.5.4, which I'm not sure that all of those have been updated for that version, but can check the applicable forums to find out more.

The solution depends on whether the store wants to simply manage inventory or to tie the in-shop orders to a specific customer.

If the request is only to manage inventory, you can create a "Bought in shop" customer and create orders for those bought-in-warehouse products paying via Check/Money Order.

If the request also includes tying those purchases to a customer, then mc12345678's suggested plugins will do what you need.

There are many ways to do it. Simplest :

Create a Coupon Code "FullDiscount" and allow 100% discount. Then shop normally.
This should work.

Though I personally have tried "Check and Money order" ( offline) and Gift voucher methods.

Lots of good ideas here. One more would be to create an account for the customer and run the order as usual, using Check/Money order as the payment method. That way they are in your system. They can always reset their password later.
