We have an issue that occurs when clients select 'Isle Of Man' from the countries list when creating an account. 'Isle Of Man' isn't a country in its own right and has exactly the same tax setup as the rest of the UK. When the client then tries to move through the checkout procedure, tax is not charged and there are no corresponding shipping arrangements.
I have tried to 'delete' the country from admin > locations > countries, but I get "ERROR: Cannot delete selected country because it is connected to customer records."
Is it as simple as finding these customers, changing their country to UK and then re-attempting delete country?
Or is there more to it than that?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
