Right, but I've seen a bunch of reports (lately, for some unknown reason) of "funky", one-off issues that occurred due to a corrupted FTP upload.

Although not officially recommended, and since you have *apparently* tried everything else.

Load the file /youradmin/includes/application_top.php into a text editor.

Locate the code that reads like:

if (version_compare(PHP_VERSION, 5.3, '>='))
{
  @date_default_timezone_set(date_default_timezone_get());
}

(This should be somewhere around line#60)

Replace the @date_default line with
@date_default_timezone_set('Europe/London');

Save the file. That *should* bypass the problem.
