TEXT_UNKNOWN_TAX_RATE "+ Sales Tax" appearing in checkout

I have not come across this before so not sure if its my set up or something new - I have checked past shops and the code is there - but its not appeared before

So I have set up the UK shop and added VAT as a tax - but when I go to checkout I see this:

Your Total
Sub-Total: £180.00
Shipping:£0.00
Qty discount:-£18.00
VAT + Tax:£27.00
Total:£162.00

Now the values are right but its this "VAT + Tax" (the +Tax should say + Sales Tax as its looking for TEXT_UNKNOWN_TAX_RATE - and I have no idea why is pulling that in)

So presume that I have no set things up right - I do have a VAT module to exempt users from paying VAT outside of the UK but it doesn't look like it touches any of the checkout files...

Anyone point me in the right direction of where this is puleld from so I can figure out which tax rate/zone etc I have mixed up

I believe this is coming from includes/modules/order_totals/ot_tax for the case where the $key is either non-numeric or that doesn't equal 0. The result is that the $key is from the tax_groups, so would suggest looking in the tax groups for the VAT + tax statement, though this is from looking at base code and may not apply to your situation havng additional VAT software installed.

figured it out!!!! thank you very much for your hints - however it was way simpler than that (when I eventually figured it out!!)

In "config: my store" there is these 2 switches

Sales Tax Display Status 0
Show Split Tax Lines true

I have the

Sales Tax Display Status set to 1 ie always show even when zero!!

it was only when I put this to TRUE

Show Split Tax Lines true

Did I see that actually it was a zero value being added that I realised I have switched the switch above - accidentally! I checked on my other stores and they all have

Sales Tax Display Status 0

When I changed that it sorted itself!!

Well, glad it helped resolve the issue. From the original post, I wasn't sure if didn't lke the words of the text, or the fact that more than one entry was present or perhaps in this case, a sort of mix of both. :)
