Default Adding Shipping Addresses to a Users Account

For our site, we need to program shipping addresses into a customers Address book when ever they create an account. I was told that this is possible, but I have not been able to find any documentation on how to do this. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide either a link or some guidance on how I need to go about this.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

If you want to allow more than 5 addresses, this can be changed in the Configuration ... Maximum Values ...

So I have to do it each time a customer signs up? That is a real pain considering we have over a 500 customers as of right now.

I guess i misunderstood, didn't know you wanted to add addresses to past customers, you said as they sign in.

I'm sorry but there seems to be some confusion with what I am asking.

We are building a site from scratch, we have no customers signed up yet. Our business only sells locally and the only 'shipping' method is delivery to pre-determined drop points. I would like to know if it is possible for the addresses of the drop points to already be in the customers address book when they sign up. Is there a way that I can do it automatically so I don't have to enter them manually after each user joins?

I hope that clears it up! Thanks!

When using ZC 1.5.4, I recomend using the build in Store Pickup as the only shipping method. ZC 1.5.4 allows you to enter multiple addresses where the orders can be picked up.

    Pickup Locations
Enter a list of locations, separated by semicolons (;).
Optionally you may specify a fee/surcharge for each location by adding a comma and an amount. If no amount is specified, then the generic Shipping Cost amount from the next setting will be applied.

    Examples:
    121 Main Street;20 Church Street
    Sunnyside,4.00;Lee Park,5.00;High Street,0.00
    Dallas;Tulsa,5.00;Phoenix,0.00
For multilanguage use, see the define-statement in the language file for this module.

One more thing the boss wants. He would like the Shipping Address removed, as all items are Store Pickup so the shipping address could confuse customers. How should I do this?

You could set every product as virtual. This will skip the shipping address
