    Default quickinstall on hostgator problems

I have my domain name and online store on godaddy.DNS is godaddy.
after quickinstalling I get 404 error instead of the login page. I have tried changing loacal host file, pointing it to subdomain on hostgator and everything else...I just can't get the login page to load.
Pretty much new to all this, extremely frustrated and confused. Any help, suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

Tell me if I'm getting this wrong...

    1. your domain URL that you want to use is on GoneDaddy
    2. you autoinstalled on GonedDaddy
    3. you want the site to redirect to a subdomain on a hostgator server

If this is correct, why not load the Zen Cart files (DO NOT USE an autoinstaller) on the hostgator subdomain and point GoneDaddy to there?

yes Domain and website(online store) is on godaddy right now. I used the drag and drop they have to build the website & store.

Now, I want to move everything to hostgator. I have signed up for business hosting plan, and upgraded to ecommerce, which allows me to quickinstall zencart in one click. but when I do this..I can never get to the login page to work on zencart.
I tried creating subdomain on hostgator and installing zen cart and it doesn't work. get the page cannot be displayed message.
I don't want to change nameservers as I don't want to mess up the website I haveup right now. Is there a way of doing this.?
