Can't login to admin after database upgrade from 151 to 1.54.

Just newly upgrade database from 1.51 to 1.54 in Linux server.

Everything seems fine. The store is working OK.

But can't login to admin.

The error message is like "WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again."

The log file shows "BLOB/TEXT column 'logmessage' can't have a default value :: ALTER TABLE zen_admin_activity_log ADD COLUMN logmessage mediumtext NOT NULL default '' ==> (as called by) /home/signag5/public_html/admin/includes/classes/class.admin.zcObserverLogWriterDatabase.php on line 90 <== in /home/signag5/public_html/includes/classes/db/mysql/query_factory.php on line 155".

By searching the forum, change admin/includes/classes/class.admin.zcObserverLogWriterDatabase.php on line 90 from
NOT NULL default ''";

to NOT NULL;

But admin still cannot login with blank page with error log file showing "syntax error, unexpected 'show' (T_STRING) in /home/XXXX/public_html/admin/includes/classes/class.admin.zcObserverLogWriterDatabase.php on line 93".

Any suggestion?

Did you happen to name all of the tables zen_ as apposed to the defaults?

Upload the ZspeCial install folder and re-install.

The "syntax error" indicates you have accidentally introduced an error when editing the file. Perhaps you forgot the double quote near the end of the line you editted?
