I had a problem with my install and had to re-install the program with a different database name, I have done the import database, but the products images, shipping and other items are not set up correct. Is there a way to change the data base name to the old database? I can see in includes/config.php the database name,user and password, is this only for install? or can I just make the changes in there and the program will use that database?

Yes. The changes/settings in the configure.php files determine which database is to be used.

Note: There are TWO configure.php files, one for the storefront, the other for the admin. You *MUST* change them both (and needless to say, they should both have the same information).

To add to RodG's answer and tie back to a question in the OP, the files are populated based on the install information (providing a version of the configure.php file applicable to the ZC version). After the initial install the associated information is what is used by ZC to operate, using whatever the files contain...
