    Default Contact Us Form

    I can't get the form to send anything. I have seen the thread being sure to not hit enter or anything so it doesn't code /n. I only included one option as Info<[email protected]>

    I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I am on godaddy using their mail. When I set it up other places, I always use smt but i've tried that as well as php and sendmail in the admin>email options settings and still nothing is sending. Anyone have any ideas on why this won't send?

    Check your admin email options and enable email archiving

    Try a test email then you can check to see if zencart has prepared the mail by checking the table using phpmyadmin or installing the addon to check this in your admin

    I'm not sure exactly what you mean by zencart preparing the mail, but in phpmyadmin, the emails are showing up in get email. but they aren't being sent all the way to the email inbox. Does that mean something is wrong with the email set up and not zencart settings?

    tried using the sendmail method from email options it went through. maybe for future knowledge, how can you tell what settings your email host is using? thanks for looking in to it and helping!

    i mustve spoke too soon. haha. it worked for one email. I tried another an hour later and it's back to not working. still showing up in email archive.

    Does that mean something is wrong with the email set up and not zencart settings
    Being in the archive means that ZenCart has done it's job and passed the email off to your MTA(mail transport agent)
    So it is either your settings or your host's settings that are not allowing them to be sent

    Also, sounds like your webserver has limited capabilities. To bypass those, and indeed to send emails more reliably, use the SMTPAUTH mode by choosing SMTPAUTH and filling in the email SMTP settings in the bottom of the list of email settings on that screen. You will need to know which port your host has enabled for this

    Thank you Kobra. Changed the port and it's all good.

    If anyone else is having issues with GoDaddy, I used smtpauth with port 80 at the bottom with your email credentials.
