googleoff/googleon unrecognized html in product description

I'm trying to find a way to get google to not crawl a section in my product description. Just a section, not the entire product page.

When I inserted
<!--googleoff: all>
<p>stuff I don't want crawled</p>
<!--googleon: all>

and tried to save it (i.e. Update after hitting Preview) the back, update, and cancel buttons went missing.

I'm assuming it's because Zencart html doesn't know what to do with this html.

Any suggestions?

Ok figured it out. Forgot the trailing hyphens on the googleon

should look like this:

<p>stuff I don't want crawled</p>
<!--googleon: all-->
