Copying Products not working

I have tried numerous times to make a new product with downloads but I cannot get it to work.

I am having a problem setting up products with downloads.
To try to solve this I tried the included "Multiple Download" product and it works fine.
I copied this to another category with attributes and it does not offer the downloads.

When I copy a product into a different classification I cannot get the download attributes to work.

Note that when you copy a product that includes downloads, the attribute that "holds" the downloadable filename is copied but the actual filename isn't. You'll need to go to Catalog->Attribute Controller for that product and enter the download-related information.

Welcome to ZC, to help you with this, those here that offer their assistance can help if clear information is provided. To explain some of the confusion on our side, above it says that you copied the product to another category with attributes. This one piece of information could potentially be taken at least two ways: 1. Grammatically this looks like the product was copied to a category that had either a title thaat included attributes or product that had attributes but the option to include the attributes when copying was not selected. 2. If assuming that the product was copied to some other category with the option of copying the attributes was selected, then there is likely a problem with the code which leads further to what kobra posted above.

When replying (or starting a new message), there are posting tips provided above the message box area that a majority of the time when "answered" up front will result in a quick and direct soluton. Otherwise more questions need to get asked to figure out the situation or *wild* guesses given to try to help.

That was the problem.
It "looked" like the file download was setup but it was not.

No problem; I'm still trying to determine if that's a bug or a feechur!
