Default Can I manually add externally-taken orders into DB/Admin

There is a reason for this I promise.

I am moving a client from Volusion shopping cart to Zen Cart - we used a migration company - which in all honesty was awful!! - I have now finally managed to get the DB and shop working with all customers and orders - finally! - however I have about 16 orders that are new on the volusion shop that I will need to "copy" across to the zen cart shop before I can make Zen Cart shop live (Zen Cart is not yet live)

I really do not want to go back to migration company as it takes me hours to correct everything - but at the same time I would like if possible to have those orders in the system

Now I could put through orders via the shop as PO or something as the customer themselves but that means they will get emails etc - what I would prefer to do is insert the data directly into Admin - is this possible?

I understand is highly against what should be done - but I am in a rock & a hard place already - I can see a module for adding new customers - but its actually orders that I am after

I could do it direct in DB but I am aware of the issue that poses although am pretty proficient in mysql

    Any good ideas to help
    Thank you
    Sarah

hmm not quite sure why someone would edit my thread title - as its not not really correct - but hey ho someone obviously felt the need! strange

So far no update on whether the edit orders works for 1.5.4 I have posted in other thread - once I know I will update this thread for the future and others

    Sarah,

If you do not find a way to go directly to the database,

Since it is "Only" 16 orders, you could edit those 16 customer email addresses (temporarily) to your email address.
Input the orders as the customer.
Return the email address to the original.

That way, the customers would not receive the emails, etc.

Rick - fab idea - that might be what we do actually as I can probably edit the date too match as well! Nice one I don't like installing plugins for the sake of it so this would certainly work - you star thank you so much!
