    Default Customer can't login.

    I have a returning customer that can't login to my site.

    His password is not accepted, the Forgot Password link says the email addy is not in the system. This is strange because I can see the email address under both of his orders. He has confirmed that the mail addy is correct.

    I went into phpMyadmin and the customer does not exist under MYSITENAME_ZC1/zc_customers but I did find him under MYSITENAME_15/zc_customers.

    I tried changing is password but I still get an error message ( Error: Sorry, there is no match for that email address and/or password.) when I try to login using his email addy and the new password.

    HELP!

    If you cannot find him searching under customers >> customers, then he will need to create a new account. Likely exists in an old database, but not the current one is all.

    We tried and and get a message that says the email address already exists.

    Which database is listed in "/includes/configure.php"?
    Which database is listed in "/your_admin_folder/includes/configure.php"?

    Which database is listed in "/includes/local/configure.php" (if present)?
    Which database is listed in "/your_admin_folder/includes/local/configure.php" (if present)?

    How did you "change" the customer's password?

    Thru phpMyadmin.
    Found the customer and deleted the string and typed in a new password.

    Ummm a clear text password? Like a word or combination of letters/numbers that make sense? Or did you possibly use a password like what is provided for when an admin resets the admin password? (Not even sure that would work.)

    Yes, I'm having this same problem. I haven't been getting orders so I went to check out the site and I can't login. I tried with two of my various ID's and can't login to the front end. I can login to the Admin.

    I checked to see if I was still in the system and YES, my ID's are still there. But can't use them on the customer login.

    ERROR MESSAGE is always the same:
    Error: Sorry, there is no match for that email address and/or password.

    I tried requesting a password reset but never got the email. The password doesn't seem to be the problem, anyway.

    Server OS: Linux
    Database: MySQL 5.5.42-cll
    HTTP Server: Apache
    PHP Version: 5.4.36 (Zend: 2.4.0) PHP Memory Limit: 32M PHP Safe Mode: Off
    PHP File Uploads: On Max Size: 2M POST Max Size: 8M
    Database Data Size: 47,120 kB Database Index Size: 4,384 kB

    Oh wait, it did send me the Password Reset. I just found it.
    And I was able to login with the new password...

    Well... never mind. This may have been user error somehow. Seems like everything is working OK now.
